Future Brain -interview

1. Who is Future Brain? Names and ages? What inspires your music?
 
Hando and Martin, 30 and 27.
Music, night, aliens, people, life, love... everything . Also current economical and brainwash situation on planet Earth. So in short - life itself!


2. Is italodisco your favorite genre? Why? Are there any other genres you appreciate?

H: No, we love all the genres out there. I could´t even pick a favourite.
M: Yes, it is.
H: The internet age has generated so much artist and producers who just sparkle and I think all the genres are richer than ever before.
M: I also like all kinds of music.


3. Do you have favorite italodisco artists or songs?

M: Kano "Another Life", Den Harrow "Mad Desire", Den Harrow "Future Brain". And Tom Hooker is one of the best italodisco singers.
H: The early production of Roberto Zanetti. There was so much underground italodisco in ´83 era, that we are still discovering.


4. If you had the chance to do a song with any artist, who would it be?

H: Michael Jackson
M: Dan Hartman


5. Are there artists you dont like?

H: The artist we don´t like, we just look at them with humour, which makes the artist fun after all. Even the so-called bad artist inspire us.


6. Are there other Estonian dance acts you are friends with?

Marit. She is very talented and with any good fortune will be huge one day.


7. Do you know any Finnish electronic musicians?

H: DJ Orkidea. I´ve seen him play live many times and he´s music has definetly inspired me. I also like Ressu Redford and we also love "Princess" by Bogart and Co and Dingo - their hits are definetly electronical music in out terms (synthesizers were definetly there).
Sound Of R.E.L.S. "Love Is The Powa" from ´94 remains one of my all times euro dance favourites. I am not so familiar with Finnish producers of the current era, because we live so far away at the moment, but I´m sure there are many talented Finnish producers out there whose music I´d love.
I also listened a lot of Darude, when I was in high school. Currently the most famous Finnish act for me is is Super8 & Tab.


8. What are your opinions about todays music industry? Especially dance music taking over the charts?

M: I think it is the sign that more interesting music is on the way. Because it is so easy to make music with you computer, then so many talented artist are in the charts because of the internet revolution.
H: Music on the whole is better then ever before. All genres are popular at the same time. We can´t wait to see what is the next big thing in music. As technology improves, music will become even more complicated and interesting in the coming years and real talents will have their chance even in their teens in the coming years.
M: It is all thanks to internet.
H: We love Finland
M: Yeah
H: And don´t mind those bulling Estonians. It is just the current situation but we will get closer as nations in next years.
