Eurotix: The Secret -review

Once in a while you find that little piece of heaven. And that is Eurotix.

Swedish Eurotix travels the road much traveled with their debut album The Secret. But what a road it is. Nowadays in the era of disposable EDM sounds and artists getting their titties out, its very hard to find music that has heart & soul. But here it is!!!

Channeling the greatest hits of Erasure, Pet Shop Boys and other synthpop acts, The Secret is a joyful electro trip from start to finish. Starting with euphoric Superstar and continuing to the wistful I plead insanity (which is my personal favorite) the melodic fireworks never stop. With versatile beats and sounds the whole album seems to be full of hits not to mention the unbelievably catchy refrains. For example Don´t let go is a fine specimen of harder beats and hints of trancepop. And Decadence is a fine nod to Abba.

The ballads are also stand outs, although usually I detest them. But they are executed with such electronic finesse that you have to fall in love with them :-)

Eurotix is what Lady Gaga thinks she is. This is what Swedish music used to be before Avicii. This is what happens when artists do the music they want to do without listening their fans through social media.

This is pure gold and the best album this year.

You understand what music is.

Stars   5/5.
