Far East Movement: Dirty bass -review

Far East Movements previous album Freewired delivered a diverse album combining different dancemusic references. It even had the legendary Roger Sanchez producing one song. This new installment is much more mainstream, sounding like LMFAO.

LMFAO had big hits with Party rock anthem and Sexy and I know it,  so Far East movement tries out that same sound. Trying to be some other band doesnt really work. Most of the songs on this album sound boring and are produced without any interest. BUT there are a couple of really good songs that I´d like to point out: the single Live my life (probably the best song Justin has ever done), Ain´t coming down (tekhouse !!!Always a plus for me) and Lights go out (which employs one of my favorite producers, Junior Caldera, and singers, Natalia kills).

There are also nods to European dancemusic like in Fly with u (which uses the refain from Gigi D´Agostino song) and the previously mentioned tekhouse song. Also you get your typical hiphop songs, which we could have lived without.

All in all, it´s not a bad album, only mediocre. They should have been true to themselves and not try to copy some other band..
