Austin Mahone: The Secret EP

Austins second EP is like a breath of fresh air in this EDM-contaminated musical landscape. There seems to be a lot of different versions of this cd around but I´m reviewing the one with 9 songs.

From the start Till I find you, Austin gives something to think about: He encapsulates perfectly the sound of Backstreet Boys. The 90´s sound is very much there but he manages to give an unique twist with dubstep and other electronic influences. 

One song that differs from the rest is Mmm yeah (with Pitbull) which is a housey track with a straight beat. Also the acoustic version of Shadow is a different because it doesnt have the electronic production but the sound is distinctive of BSB.

And the best song is saved until last: What about me. THAT is the song which got me hooked on Austin :-)   

This EP is by far THE BEST pop music I´ve heard this year. This gives something for boyband lovers and modern pop sound lovers. Producers like Redone have really outdone themselves. 

Also, Austin is far better looking than Justin Bieber, and with better songs, Justin should be trembling in his pants :-)
