Teflon Brothers: Valkoisten dyynien ratsastajat -review

It´s been a looong time since I´ve heard Finnish music that´s worth reviewing. Then out of the blue comes this album; Finnish hip hop group takes on various dance music styles and brings forth various amazing tunes.

Album opener Syö mun suklaata (Eat my chocolate) is a wildly grotesque song about something i dare not mention here ;-) But it sets the tone nicely for the things to come. The whole album is a mixture of electrohop, house, trancy synths and you even hear acic sounds in Jee Jee. Eurodance makes an appearance on Seksikkäin jäbä and in Pidä itsesi miehenä, which has probably the best refrain ever heard in Finnish music.

Valkoisten dyynien ratsastajat is a nice mixture of humor and firmly constructed beats which make this one of the most memorable album I´ve heard in ages in Finnish mainstream. It has the kind high-class production that many of todays humor hip hop acts (like JVG) lack. A big THANK YOU goes to DJPP and Ercola.   Well done !!!

I give 5/5 stars!!!
